Will spoke to Fox about the much discussed White House AI Safety Institute
There's clearly going to need to be some sort of new agency or subdivision to implement these kinds of new requirements and have some sort of oversight and creating a whole bunch of new things that the government wants to do,” said Will Rinehart, Senior Research Fellow at the Center for Growth and Opportunity in Utah State University. “So, in doing that, this makes a lot of sense.
Following Neil’s great Twitter thread, he joined Marketplace to share his thoughts on which pieces of the EO the Biden Administration could implement without Congress:
“There’s some things that are probably within the presidential power, but are potentially questionable, calls for additional guidance,” he said. “Lots and lots of, ‘Hey, let’s use existing legal authorities to look at this.‘“

Neil also penned a response to Marc Andreessen’s tech manifesto for City Journal. "[The “Techno-Optimist Manifesto”] challenges prevailing pessimism within U.S. culture and argues for a return to the spirit of progress and entrepreneurialism that has historically propelled humanity forward."
